Each piece from this series is made from clay harvested by hand from the banks for the Chilliwack River. Since 2018 I have been researching local clay, methods of processing it and glaze compatibility. I have developed a line of simple utilitarian forms and tile using this local clay that was formed when the glaciers melted more than ten thousand years ago.  The clay comes from the unceded territory of the Ts’elxwéyeqw tribe. A portion of sales from each piece is donated to a cause that supports environmental sustainability and/or the local community.
