The clay for this piece was dug by hand from the banks of the Chilliwack River. The piece is all about material and place with it's minimal form and simple glaze application. The only surface embellishment is the geographical coordinates identifying the origin of the clay. The planters measure approx. 5" tall and 4.5" across the top. It has a hole in the bottom for drainage. Each piece is made individually with slight variation in size and clay colour so it might not be exactly like the one in the photo.
