The clay for this piece was dug by hand (shovel and bucket) from the banks of the Chilliwack River. The piece is all about material and place with it's minimal form and simple glaze application. The only surface embellishment is the geographical coordinates identifying the origin of the clay. The vase measures about 6.25" tall and 3.25" at the opening. Each piece is made individually with some variation in clay colour and size so it may look slightly different from the one in the picture.
